Dejan Jović in Conversation at the University of Montenegro

A public academic forum hosted by University of Montenegro on the enduring relevance of intellectual resistance in contemporary Europe.

The discussion will examine key political and international issues affecting Montenegro, the Western Balkans, and Europe, offering an opportunity for an open and engaging exchange of ideas between academics, experts, students, and the wider public.

University of Montenegro will host an academic forum “On the Resistance of Intellectuals” with Dejan Jović, President of the FPF Board and Professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb,  on Monday, 6 July, at 19:00.

 

During the event, Jović will present his latest book, Resistance of Intelectuals (Otpor intelektualaca, Fraktura 2025). The discussion will also explore broader themes, including intellectual engagement, the legacy of Yugoslavia, the role of dissidents in society, and the enduring relevance of intellectual resistance in contemporary Europe.

 

The conversation will be moderated by journalist and President of the University of Montenegro Alumni Association, Srdan Kosović. The event is open to students, academics, media representatives, and the general public.
